Your guide

Marcel St Pierre is 40 and is hunting wildfowl since the age of 11. He is a commercial fisherman and guide hunter from Canada and France. He’s been guiding clients since 1987 and know how to make sure your trip will be sucessful. So all you have to do is enjoy your hunting trip in Quebec.

Location

Lake St-Pierre is located 80 miles east of Montreal and 75 miles of Quebec city. International flights land in Montreal and rental vehicles are available there. Lake St-Pierre is 35 miles by 9 miles. He is located in the heart of the Atlantic flyway. This aera is known to offer the best duck and goose hunting in Quebec. You could expect to shoot at more then 15 species of ducks, Canada goose, greater snow goose and brant.

Hunt

We specialize on sink-box hunting for ducks and geese. Come experience hunting like old market hunters did in the goods olds days. Sink-box hunting is legal in Canada. We hunt puddler ducks : mallard, black duck, pintail, gadwall, widgeon, shoveller, green wing teal.

Diver ducks : scaup lesser and greater, ringneck, redhead, goldeneye, bufflehead, oldsquaw,white-winged scoter, surf scoter and merganser. Canada goose , greater snow goose and brant. You could expect a mix bag at the end of the day. You will be shooting at decoying birds, your shots will typically be from 20 feets to 30 yards away. 2 boxes of shells per day should be alloted. Non toxic ammunition are required to hunt in Canada.

We also offer snipe hunting with flushing or pointing dogs and ruffed grouse over pointing dogs. Try your skill at snipe , they have a fast and erratic flight. Usually they are an average of 1 bird for every 6 shots, depending of the accuracy. Our average flush rate is 25 by day.

Lodging

Lodging is aviable at a B&B near the hunting site for $ 40 US a nigth in double occupancy. They are restaurants less then 5 miles of the hunting site. We can help you arrange for lodging,licences, pick up at the airport and have lunch and diner prepared to make your hunting trip worry free.
